With over 16 years of experience in public practice accounting, Jordan Blahnik brings a wealth of knowledge to the table and provides a service-oriented approach to all of his clients.
With a focus on prompt and professional communication, Jordan makes sure that his clients feel respected and prioritized when dealing with his firm.
In 2008, freshly graduated from Red River College with a Business Administration- Major in Accounting diploma, Jordan worked for the same medium-sized firm until 2023, when the time came to start his own firm. He took with him all his learnings, eager to make improvements wherever possible.
During his time with that firm, Jordan worked incredibly hard and dedicated significant time to his advancement, becoming a Manager in 2013, and a Partner in 2018.
Jordan is extremely proud to be a Chartered Professional Accountant, and his legacy designation with the Society of Management Accountants of Manitoba.
When not in the office, Jordan loves to spend time with his wife and two children, golf at Rossmere Country Club and cheer on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
Jordan is a proud Winnipegger and Transconian and looks forward to serving his community for years to come!
Kristen joined Blahnik & Associates right from the inception of the firm; excited to learn more about public practice accounting and apply her many skills, and experiences gained over a long (15 year) and successful career in Retail with LensCrafters.
After having two beautiful babies back to back, Kristen knew that a continued career in Retail was not conducive to the family life she wanted to provide for her kids. When the possibility arose of her and Jordan being able to open a firm together, she knew it was the perfect opportunity to start a new chapter in an industry of great interest, and be a key partner in the success of Blahnik & Associates CPA INC.
Kristen was the Store General Manager for LensCrafters for more than 7 years. She ran one of the busiest and best performing stores across Western Canada. She was responsible for leading a team, training team members, driving sales performance and achieving targets, payroll, customer service and satisfaction, and overseeing the store’s day to day operations.
All of these responsibilities have translated incredibly well into her role at Blahnik & Associates where she (once again) wears many hats; Administration, Marketing, Human Resources, Bookkeeping, Payroll, Client Servicing, Training and On-boarding.
When not in the office, Kristen is a busy Mom of two toddlers, juggling and coordinating the needs of her family. Kristen is an avid reader, golfer and enjoys spending time with her friends & family – whether that be watching the Bachelor franchise or spending time at the lake.
The firm would not be in existence without Kristen’s meaningful and important contributions every single day!
Katya comes to our office all the way from the Ukraine where she worked in public accounting for more than 10+ years.
Katya is excited to be able to work in public accounting in Canada with B&A in the role of Bookkeeper and is eager to continue to learn Canadian tax, payroll and bookkeeping.
Katya has a keen attention to detail and has been a lovely addition to the Blahnik & Associates team!
Janna joins our firm with over 5+ years of experience working in public practice accounting.
Jordan and Janna worked at the same firm prior to Blahnik & associates. B&A was beyond excited to bring Janna onboard and all her exceptional qualities and skills; well organized, detail-oriented, expert in our processes and systems, and most importantly to us, a champion of excellent customer service.
In her previous role, Janna was engaged in business operations through managing the administration team, coordinating operations, and organizing work flow and deadlines. Janna aims to create a positive and productive work environment.
When Janna’s not in the office, you can find her spending time nourishing one of her passions: gardening, cooking and baking. Gardening allows her to connect with nature and cultivate a diverse range of plants; while cooking and baking provide an outlet for her culinary creativity and love for experimenting with flavours.
The firm could not be more proud to have Janna as an important pillar in the organization to help the business grow, operate efficiently and deliver a great client experience!
Kathryn joined B&A last month on an internship/partnership with Robertson College as part of her practicum, that she will now graduate and receive her diploma in their Accounting Technician program. Kathryn has been a very positive addition to our team from the moment she stepped foot in our doors and brings with her an eagerness to learn and assist our clients.
We are thrilled that she will continue her accounting career journey with B&A on a full-time basis, as she further develops her accounting skills; to build on what is already a strong foundational knowledge, proficiency with key tools, and a detail-oriented, results-driven attitude.
Outside of work, Kathryn enjoys swimming for both fitness and relaxation.
